Zippo Lighter Boxes have varied throughout the decades. Each Zippo lighter has been sold in its original box, and these paper or decorative boxes have become an essential part of any Zippo collection.
ZIPPO Windproof Lighter 1950’s
This series features Zippo lighters printed with the designs of Zippo boxes that were produced during the 1940s and 1950s. Since the box designs changed with the times, these make for fascinating collectible items.
All models in this series are printed on High Polish Chrome Zippo lighters, featuring both the Zippo logo and vintage artwork.
(1) Vintage Box Design – Original Zippo
This design replicates the red box used between approximately 1947 and 1951. The featured photo is from the 2002 model.
(2) Vintage Box Design 1953–1957 Zippo
This lighter features the design of boxes used between 1953 and 1957. While actual boxes from that period varied slightly in design and color, this version is printed in a deep bordeaux tone. The featured photo is from the 2003 model.
(3) Vintage Box Ribbon Design Zippo
This Zippo showcases a gift-style box design featuring a green ribbon used around 1947–1951.
