Windy series reflects the fashion from the 1930s to 1960s
Windy & Zippo Logo
The woman lighting a cigarette in the wind—known as “Windy”—first appeared as an advertising model in the late 1930s to promote Zippo lighters as wind-resistant across the United States. Since then, Windy has become an iconic symbol of the Zippo brand.
This Windy series features designs that reflect the fashion of each era—the 1930s, 1940s, 1950s, and 1960s—allowing collectors to appreciate the historical evolution of Windy’s image over time.
The base lighter is a satin chrome Zippo. The surface has a soft, smooth feel, with the Windy designs printed directly onto the lighter.
Although Windy has been around for many decades, just like ZIPPO itself, her appeal has never waned.
