The Beatles “Revolution” Zippo

This Zippo lighter features a design inspired by the Beatles’ iconic song “Revolution.”

The base model is a Brushed Chrome Zippo, finished with a textured black stucco-style coating. On the body, the word “REVOLUTION” is boldly printed in vivid red, while the lid carries THE BEATLES logo in the same striking tone. The overall design conveys a darker aesthetic, echoing the strong message of the song.

“Revolution” was written by John Lennon in 1968 and remains one of the Beatles’ most powerful and socially conscious works. The song exists in several versions, but its core message rejects violent revolution and instead calls for true change to begin within the hearts and minds of people.

The year 1968 was marked by global student movements, anti–Vietnam War protests, and the May Revolution in France. In this climate, Lennon expressed skepticism toward violent means of change, embedding his belief in peaceful transformation into the song’s lyrics.

Released as the B-side to “Hey Jude,” “Revolution” still reached No. 12 on the U.S. charts—an impressive feat for a B-side. Although its political message was divisive at the time, it is now recognized as an important anthem advocating for non-violent, meaningful change.
