This is a ZIPPO lighter featuring the design of the Canadian flag. The flag lines are crafted to stand out on a gleaming solid brass ZIPPO lighter.
This particular model was released in Canada. The ZIPPO Canada factory was the only one outside the United States to operate, but it ceased operations in 2002.
The lighter case was manufactured in the U.S., while the inside unit was made in Canada and engraved “NIAGARA FALLS, ONTARIO,” a mark of production at the ZIPPO Canada factory.
The set includes a warranty card and user manual for the Canadian market, written in both English and French, reflecting Canada’s official languages.
Due to age and wear, there are multiple fine scratches on both sides of the lighter, with some fading on the back. The bottom of the lighter is stamped with “2000 XVI” (indicating the year 2000), while the inside unit is stamped with “XV” (indicating 1999).
